December 27-31, 2009. Since 1946 InterVarsity has been providing a place for college students to see, hear, and respond to God’s global mission at Urbana conferences. At Urbana 09 students will learn about critical global issues from dynamic teachers, worship with thousands in one of the most diverse gatherings in North America, and be challenged by missional students and recent graduates who testify to God’s faithfulness to the ends of the earth.

June 19-21, 2009. Hosted by InterVarsity in Tampa and The Underground; this is a weekend of:

Being & living in the Ybor Heights neighborhood of Tampa.
Walking & learning alongside a mentor from the local homeless community.
Recovering & discovering the teachings of Jesus on injustice and poverty.
Expressing & reflecting on our journey toward a more biblical faith.

Come learn, reflect, repent, serve, and live together within an inner city neighborhood for a weekend to begin exploring the relationship between Jesus and the poor.

Spring Conference 2008

Spring Conference 2008 is a chance for college students from around North Florida to get away from their campuses for a weekend of renewal, training, and experiential learning. This year we will be exploring the connection between love for God and love for people.

The evenings will combine teaching, worship, and theological reflection as well as opportunities for students from the same schools to come together and discuss the implications for their campuses. On Saturday we will spend time getting our hands dirty, expressing our love for God with our lives and not just our words.

Spring Conference 2009

Spring Conference 2009 is a chance for college students from around North Florida to get away for a Saturday of renewal, training, and worship. This year we will be exploring how to discern and discover God’s will for our lives.

It will be a combination of worship, teaching, reflection, & elective seminars. Students will also have opportunities to gather with those from their school as well as from other schools. They will leave with solid principles for hearing from God and making decisions concerning their future.

The old testament character of Joseph is an example of one who God sent ahead and intended for good. Through hardship, family brokenness and reconciliation, Joseph rose as a leader and advocate for his people. Likewise God is calling Latino college students to become leaders and advocates for his purposes.

LaFe07 will be a gathering of Latino college students from around the nation to hear this affirmation and calling on their lives. God sends us ahead and intends us for good in this world. LaFe07 is an opportunity to ARISE.

Sonburst 2007 – (October 12-14, 2007)

Sonburst is InterVarsity’s annual state-wide student conference in Florida. Through plenary sessions and seminars, students will be challenged in their faith and better equiped to build the kingdom of God on campus. Hundreds of students from around the state will worship, learn, and grow in love for God, God’s word, God’s people of every ethnicity and culture, and God’s purposes in the world.

Each year the theme of Sonburst reflects one of our 4 loves. Based on InterVarsity’s purpose statement, we are trying to grow in love for God, God’s Word, God’s people of every ethnicity and culture, and God’s purposes in the world. This year Carl Medearis will be speaking about growing in love for God’s people.

Mexico City Project – (July 5-22, 2007)

The Mexcio City Project is an introduction to cross-cultural missions and working with the urban poor. The program combines service, evangelism, and theological reflection. It will be like a two week class, a missions-lab where we will learn about the struggles of the urban poor in Mexico and the challenge to those who would bring the gospel.

Believing that the spirit of God is already powerfully at work in the lives of the Mexican people we want to come alongside those who are co-laboring with God to see his kingdom come in tangible ways. With this in mind, we will be both serving and learning from an indigenous Mexican ministry called Armonia.

Spring Break Missions

there are a myriad of options for college students during Spring Break. the beach, road trips, passing out on mom’s couch… students from around North Florida however will be traveling to places like Immokalee, FL and New Orleans to serve and learn about how God is at work in forgotten places in our land.

the crew from UF is going to Immokalee, FL and will be learning about the circumstances of immigrant farm workers in the area and helping out in the community with Habitat for Humanity and other organizations. students from Flagler College are going to New Orleans and will be assisting in the ongoing relief efforts to restore the city and offer a hand to those who have lost so much.

let’s stand with them in prayer as they spend their Spring Break chasing after God and his heart for people.

Journey ’07
